The new team at the AIB has started with a bang and how!

Within days of taking over at the helm of affairs of the AIB, the young and enthusiastic team of our comrades have immediately sent letters to Smt. Sungita Sharma, Member (P&V) as well as Joint Secretary (Admin), requesting for an e-appointment to discuss the various welfare issues of the Ministerial cadre. 

In this letter dated 15-09-2020,  Com. Chitrasain Garg, Secretary General, All India Central Excise and Service Tax Ministerial Officers' Association has outlined several issues which are long pending at Board level for discussion/resolution. Some of the issues are as follows:

1. Stagnation in the cadre of TA (also affecting the feeder cadre)
2. Discussion on DOPT query in insertion of Protection/Retention clause in the RR of EA
3. Discussion on amendments in the RR of Inspector keeping TA as a feeder cadre
4. Filling up of huge vacancies

The response from the Board has been appreciative. While meeting personally with the officials at Board may not be possible due to the pandemic, the Association is trying hard to reach out to them with the help of web conferencing and e-mails. The Secretary General and his team of passionate comrades are drafting various representations addressed to several officers with a hope of getting some positive news for the entire Ministerial cadre.

As Com. Harsh Chaturvedi, Organising Secretary, AIB puts it, "We are unstoppable now. We shall strive hard to make things happen for all of us!"

Comrades!  The date 28-09-2015 marks a black day for the Tax Assistants of the GST & Customs department all over the country. It was on this day 5 years ago that Tax Assistants, an integral cadre of the Ministerial community, got a rude jolt as their dreams and aspirations of getting promotions were crashed suddenly.
