AIB's letter to Board reg. insertion of Protection/Retention Clause in the EA RRs

Image
Hard work betrays none The team at AIB has been working very hard to insert protection/retention clause ("retention of existing eligibility criteria") in the Recruitment Rules in the grade of Executive Assistant to protect the interests of the Ministerial officers who have been deprived of the promotional aspects.  It has been learnt that DOPT returned the proposal with an observation that "protection clause is not applicable as the RRs for the post of EA was framed first time in 2015 and the earlier promotional and feeder grade are not on the same footing." In this regard, after many rounds of drafting and redrafting, a letter dated 16-09-2020 was sent to the Hon'ble Chairman, CBIC, clarifying our Association's stance regarding this issue.  Click on this link to read the letter dated 16-09-2020. Further, Com. Chitrasain Garg, Secretary-General, AIB, also apprised the team about the following developments:  1. Appointment with Member (P&V) - Member (P&am

Sungita Sharma, Member (P&V) as well as Joint Secretary (Admin), requesting for an e-appointment to discuss the various welfare issues of the Ministerial cadre.  In this letter dated 15-09-2020,  Com. Chitrasain Garg, Secretary General, All India Central Excise and Service Tax Ministerial Officers' Association has outlined several issues which are long pending at Board level for discussion/resolution. Some of the issues are as follows: 1. Stagnation in the cadre of TA (also affecting the feeder cadre) 2. Discussion on DOPT query in insertion of Protection/Retention clause in the RR of EA 3. Adoption to eOffice - DGPM praises CGST Bengaluru Zone!

Image
People make the difference. And one of those people is you. Thank you for making a difference in our organisation! A pat on the back is always a nice feeling to have - it keeps the employees motivated and happy that their hard work and dilligence are noted and appreciated. With the implementation of eOffice all over the CGST Zones in the country, we had to quickly adapt and work on the office web platform for delivering quick results with enhanced productivity. Notwithstanding the various challenges, hiccups and technical glitches on the way, our very own Bengaluru Zone tried to lead by example and started working on it as soon as possible.  Be it the off days, weekends or the clouds of a pandemic looming by, the Ministerial officers, among others, took it upon themselves as a challenge to pave the way by immediate migration to the eOffice platform. And finally our hardwork seems to have been paid off! In a letter dated 04-09-2020, Sh. Manoj Krishna, Pr. Director General, DGPM, New

Comrades!  The date 28-09-2015 marks a black day for the Tax Assistants of the GST & Customs department all over the country. It was on this day 5 years ago that Tax Assistants, an integral cadre of the Ministerial community, got a rude jolt as their dreams and aspirations of getting promotions were crashed suddenly. The EA Recruitment Rules, which extended the qualifying service for promotion to the grade of Executive Assistant to 10 years, has impacted the lives of Tax Assistants every single day thereon.  Hopes crashed, dreams shattered, the TAs are highly demotivated and there is no will to work in the department when there is no professional increment to succeed and earn better in life.  With this in mind, the all India body of the Ministerial Association has been trying day in and out to reach out to the higher officers sitting at Board level in New Delhi to improve the promotional aspects of the Tax Assistants (among other issues).  One such exercise has been the relentl
